Busy Court Week
Lots of court cases this week to talk about. You saw us report on the “Black WIdows” trial yesterday and later in the day the MetroLink Crash Case and today the Motrin Trial.
Regarding the Black Widows, I find it amusing the way these titles come about. Who came up with that? It makes it easy to remember, though, doesn’t it? Instead of saying the Rutterschmidt/Golay case, we say the “Black Widows” and you know exactly what we’re referring to.
This morning’s case is an interesting one. The Motrin Trial in Malibu could have nationwide ramifications. A family is suing Johnson & Johnson claiming their daughter went blind after taking Children’s Motrin. A verdict is expected today.
Here’s a bit of irony with the case: the family’s name is JOHNSON, the case is against JOHNSON and JOHNSON and the illness the little girl has is called Stevens-JOHNSON Syndrome. Did you notice?
